TriOptima completes first USD/KRW compression

Eleven institutions save $8.8 billion of notional

TriOptima, the Icap-owned post-trade provider, has announced that 11 financial institutions eliminated $8.8 billion of notional principal in the first USD/KRW cross-currency swap-compression cycle deployed by the company.

Since April 2014, TriOptima has run 13 triReduce cycles for both G10 and emerging markets currencies in foreign exchange, with 37 participants joining at least one of them. More than $1 trillion in outstanding notional principal has been eliminated so far.
