
Dresdner Centralises Foreign Exchange Desks; Plans Joint Kleinwort Operation In London

Dresdner Bank is centralising its foreign exchange operations in major centres, reducing desks in subsidiary centres to sales operations. But despite the recent acquisition of U.K. merchant bank Kleinwort Benson, its major European centre will continue to be Frankfurt, officials say.
"For foreign exchange, our major trading centre will be Frankfurt; for London we have not made a decision, but almost certainly, we will have only one operation, not two," says Henning Bruttel, Dresdner's new global
