Best execution: not just price, but what else?
The concept of best execution in the FX market has been getting a lot of press recently. However, it doesn’t seem we’re any closer to agreement. Perhaps that’s not such a bad thing. It should mean there is still a lot of healthy debate to be had on this topic.
At a recent conference, I participated on a panel with members of the consultant, regulator and sell-side communities. The range of opinion on what constitutes best execution was vast. The UK regulator suggested securities-related FX
