Midland Bank Builds Scandi Trading As New FX Desk Opens In Stockholm

Midland Bank is starting up a new foreign exchange trading desk in Stockholm which is expected to begin spot and forward market-making in Scandinavian currencies by the end of the year, officials say. The move is part of a larger effort by the bank to centralise and expand its treasury, capital markets and investment banking business in Stockholm for the whole of Scandinavia, they add.
John Dovener, a senior trader in Scandinavian currency forwards, is transferring to Stockholm to head the FX
