Telerate Considers Changes To TTS Interface But Says FX Dealing System's Slate Must Stay

Telerate Systems Inc. is studying alternative user interface devices for The Trading Service, its automated trading system for the interbank foreign exchange market. As part of the project, sources say, FX Development Group, a systems integrator acquired by Telerate last year, is attempting to integrate TTS with its digital data distribution system. The TTS touch-sensitive slate input device has drawn strong, often negative, reactions from traders since its introduction.
