Reuters Holdings PLC's recent agreement with Effix Systemes S.A. makes Reuters the exclusive distributor of Effix's workstation products. But the French software firm will continue to develop a deal-capture and position-keeping system that it will market itself. The system, a possible competitor to the Reuters Position Keeping System, will be aimed at the foreign exchange, money markets and fixed-income securities markets.
