Telerate Systems Inc. is establishing proprietary optional services to compete with the third-party services it disseminates via its global network. In the first incarnation of the new strategy, Telerate plans to launch a fixed-income and foreign exchange analysis service to rival the Telerate-delivered services of McGraw-Hill Inc.'s MMS International, Van Kempen Merritt Inc.'s McCarthy Crisanti Maffei and Thomson Financial Services Inc.'s Global Finance Inc. and Technical Data Inc.
