Spotlight on: Bernd Bröker, UniCredit
Following the departure of Nick Crawford from his role as global head of foreign exchange at UniCredit in September 2011, the Italian bank appointed Bernd Bröker, formerly global head of FX options at Nomura, to the curious role of ‘consultant’ for the FX business in London. In December, UniCredit announced Bröker’s promotion to global head of G-10 FX and deputy head of FX. Based in London, he reports locally to Guy Laffineur, deputy head of markets and global head of FX.
