The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) reports that trading volume for currency futures and options in June was up year-on-year. Total currency futures volume rose 36 per cent during the month, to 3,035,027 contracts traded, compared with 2,240,400 a year ago. Average daily volume was 137,956 contracts, while open interest stood at 485,600 positions at month-end. Total currency options volume rose 14 per cent, with total volume for the month at 432,696 contracts, compared with 379,731 a year ago
