North American traders are more likely to increase their share of emerging markets trading and use of algorithms over the year ahead than their counterparts in Europe and Asia – although, globally, 38% of respondents to a survey conducted by JP Morgan say they plan to boost their algo usage.

The online survey, carried out in November 2016, questioned some 200 institutional FX traders about trends in the electronic currency trading arena. On a global basis, respondents said they use algos to
