
IG customers make official complaint
Clients have negative balances due to the SNB move

A group of IG customers, who are together on the hook for millions in losses after betting against the Swiss franc, have brought a formal complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) in London against the online spread-betting firm.
The clients argue that IG's claims for the payment of negative balances following the events of January 15 are unfounded and unfair. They also claim IG is guilty of serious systemic failures in the way it dealt with customers after it stopped offering
