Lloyds reinstates suspended trader

Chantree cleared of misconduct

Lloyds Bank reinstated senior foreign exchange dealer Martin Chantree earlier this month, after an internal investigation cleared him of any wrongdoing, without any disciplinary action taken.

Chantree was suspended in February, following allegations he shared confidential client infromation with his peers. He had been with Lloyds for nine years.

Chantree is the first trader to be cleared and reinstated by a bank in connection with the benchmark manipulation saga that has engulfed major currency
