FastMatch NY suffers trading delays
'Short-lived slowness' affects HFT spot platform
FastMatch's New York matching engine was hit by a "short-lived slowness" that delayed trading early on the morning of April 3, according to a client memo seen by FX Week.
FastMatch chief executive Dmitri Galinov told customers in an emailed statement that some liquidity providers received "erroneous" messages informing them not to trade on the system at 8:30am Eastern Standard Time. Galinov attributed this to "excessive quoting" in the aftermath of a news event, which created a "processing
