Countries will leave the euro by 2014, says ACI UK poll

More than three-quarters of respondents to an industry poll think at least one country will leave the euro by the start of 2014, but a majority believe the single currency will continue to exist over that period.

Thirty-six per cent of those surveyed thought three or more countries would ditch the euro by 2014, with 21.33% voting for two and 20% opting for one. Just 22.67% felt none of the current member countries would leave by that date. However, survey respondents – comprising bankers
