Icap decimalised pricing off to steady start

Preparation for the transition to decimals on majors on the EBS platform has been under way for more than 18 months and is aimed at giving traders more competitive pricing over the platform and via aggregation systems.

According to Steve Toland, head of EBS sales for Europe and North America at Icap in London, the development period involved a seven-month pilot phase in which decimals were tested on Commonwealth pairs, giving Icap the time to make the changes needed to effectively deliver
