CME puts brakes on FX clearing

CHICAGO – CME has put on hold plans to roll out its foreign exchange clearing service as participants await more clarity on clearing processes for over-the-counter derivatives from regulators.

The Chicago-based exchange was due to launch its platform-agnostic post-trade FX clearing service this year, after opening up to the wider market last September (FX Week, 28 September, 2009).
