CIBC beefs up electronic trading

TORONTO - CIBC will add to its electronic trading capabilities, as it continues its 2009 hiring spree.

The bank has made more than 10 FX-related hires this year, among which was Takis Spiropoulos, who arrived last month as head of the electronic solutions group (FX Week, June 15). He will lead the development of the bank's single-bank platform, CIBC foreign exchange online, which is based on Reuters Electronic Trading technology and is currently only available to North American clients trading
