FXall posts $15 trillion trading volume for 2008

LONDON - Multibank portal FXall has declared average daily trading volumes of $60 billion for 2008.

The figure, based on 250 trading days, amounts to a record annual trading volume of $15 trillion, single count, which represents an 11% increase year on year. The company said that more than 60% of volume is now accounted for by institutional investors.

However, FXall declined to provide figures for the fourth quarter, only saying volumes had been affected by ongoing volatility. CME and EBS
