Reuters To Launch Dealing 2000-2 April 29 20 Banks Sign Up In New York, London

After some four years of development and numerous delays, Reuters Holdings PLC will finally launch its Dealing 2000-2 automated foreign exchange matching service next week. On April 29, one day before the company's annual general meeting, 20 banks in London and New York will go live on the system.

Reuters refuses to disclose the names of the 20 banks involved in next weeks launch except to say that they will include major U.S., U.K., French, Japanese, Canadian and German banks. But one
