Royal Bank Of Canada In London To Combine Treasury And Swaps

Over the next few months, Royal Bank of Canada will be progressively merging its London treasury and medium-term swaps groups--a move that will be combined with a trading room systems upgrade, say bank officials.

According to trading room manager David Barnett, RBC's foreign exchange, forwards, money markets, FRAs, forex options and medium-term swaps groups will all eventually report to him and to treasurer Martin Klingsick. The current swaps chief, Eddie Wong, will move to Tokyo to head up RBC's
