The Philadelphia Stock Exchange reports a 22 percent gain in currency options volume over 1992's record first six months. Trading volume in the PHLX's eight currency options and two cross-rate currency options rose to 6,704,932 contracts, representing over $300 billion in underlying value, against 5,516,048 contracts in the first half of 1992.
Total currency volume on Globex, the after-hours electronic trading system, rose to 27,246 contracts in June, compared with 15,719 in May. Volume figures
