Phlx's Ucom Provides Bright Spot In Currency Options Product

Despite the generally depressed forex market, officials at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (Phlx) say volume on its United Currency Options Market (Ucom), which last week celebrated its second anniversary, is holding steady.

"The dollar has been in a narrow trading margin, volatility is low and institutions have been sitting on the sidelines," says Joseph Rizzello, Phlx's executive vice president for marketing, new products. "The silver lining is that Ucom continues to grow." For the year-to-date
