J.P. Morgan Claims Success With Decentralized Global Foreign Exchange Trading Operation

An experimental new method of organizing its global foreign exchange trading operation has paid off for J.P. Morgan in the year since the bank set up the new structure, according to foreign exchange manager Goetz Eggelhoefer. The decentralized structure Morgan uses, runs counter to the route many other banks have taken in the past few years, but it may point the way for others who can emulate Morgan's system investment and cooperative corporate culture.
