Swiss Banks Rise In FX Week Earnings Table As Citibank's Forex Income Dives In 1994

A dreadful year in the markets combined with the effects of acquisition and a change in reporting at Swiss giant Crédit Suisse combined to knock market leader Citibank off its customary perch at the top of the FX income chart in 1994. Citibank's 42 per cent drop in foreign exchange income last year pushed it down to third place behind Crédit Suisse and Swiss Bank Corp. in FX Week's Top 30 table for 1994.
