Outlook For U.S. Bank Earnings Looks Bleak In Q2, Analysts Say

Second-quarter foreign exchange trading revenues at the U.S. banks are unlikely to be stellar, according to analysts and traders alike. At best, results will be mixed among those reporting earnings over the next fortnight, these sources say.

"By and large, most of the banks will not have experienced the same kind of explosive earnings that they had in the first quarter," says the chief dealer at a money centre bank in New York who wishes to remain unnamed.
