
M&A Cash Inflows To US Slow Down

LONDON--Cross-border merger and acquisition inflows into the United States valued $10 billion last month, but the US dollar pipeline was at its lowest level in eight months, according to JP Morgan's cross-border M&A cashflow report for January 2001.
Analysts say the results may indicate a slowing of M&A cashflows into the US. Bob Sinche, currency strategist at US bank Citigroup in New York, told FX week there are "tentative signs that equity flows to the US are slowing".
