The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) reports total currency futures volume for October was 1,706,660 contracts, an 8.3 per cent increase from last year's 1,575,730 contracts. Total currency options volume for October was down 22.9 per cent to 573,689 contracts, from 743,841 contracts a year ago. Average daily volume for currency futures was 74,203 contracts, up from the 71,624 contracts traded for the same period last year. October's open interest for currency futures stood at 373,749
