
BoA Hires Mark Brown As New Proprietary Trading Global Chief

NEW YORK--Bank of America has hired Mark Brown to build a new global proprietary trading desk, based in New York.
Brown--formerly global head of FX at Republic National Bank of New York--joined BoA last week, and has been given the task of building a global desk "from ground zero," according to global FX trading chief, Richard Breslow.
Part of that brief is to set up a desk in London, where the American bank has no proprietary FX capability.
