Reuters mounts EBS challenge

"We are dead serious about positioning ourselves as an alternative in euro/dollar," said Mark Robson, managing director, treasury broking services at Reuters in London.

"Since the middle of last year we’ve had a real push on becoming a more acceptable alternative in spot euro/dollar and our volumes there have grown substantially."

Average ticket sizes in euro/dollar have increased by around 25% year-on-year, said Robson. This is likely to have come from clients taking larger positions as a result
