FXCM aims for 50:50 split between institutional and retail FX

FXCM's chief executive Drew Niv has an ambitious goal: he wants to grow the institutional side of his business from 20% of the company's revenue to 50% in the next two to three years. For a company that started out in 1999 with a focus on online trading for retail investors, that seems a tall order, but when one takes stock of FXCM's growing inventory of acquisitions and new ventures, it starts to make sense.
