CFTC issues advisory to clarify retail FX trading

WASHINGTON, DC -- The trading and markets division of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) last month issued a new advisory to clear up confusion surrounding the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of December 2000 (CFMA).

The advisory focuses on: entities introducing retail customers to registered futures commissions merchants (FCMs); the management of retail off-exchange futures or options accounts; and the operations of pools trading exclusively in off-exchange futures or options
