BBVA to launch corporate-focused FX platform

Spanish bank BBVA is to launch a foreign exchange single-dealer platform later this year, aimed principally at its corporate client base as it goes head-to-head with a flurry of newly launched bank platforms as well as revamped incumbents.

The new platform, BBVA eMarkets, will launch with a full range of FX products, including spot, swaps, forwards, options and non-deliverable forwards, but its capabilities in options will not include execution due to lower client demand. The bank has also not
