Thomson Reuters is to extend the reach of its Elektron proximity hosting and connectivity service to include the Matching spot trading platform as well as other third-party FX liquidity pools and pre- and post-trade applications, the vendor reveals today.

Thomson Reuters Elektron was launched in April 2010 and aims to reduce latency and increase efficiency for speed-sensitive clients by hosting the matching engines of platforms, service providers and clients in a cloud-based architecture.
