Nordea adds AthenaTrader

COPENHAGEN - Nordea is deploying an FX aggregation system to improve access to liquidity as it moves to auto-hedge 80% of customer flows, according to a senior official at the bank.

"We are trying to increase our liquidity opportunities in the FX market by getting access to more venues, and we are using Athena to get those connections in place," said Kenneth Steengaard, head of FX, money markets and commodities trading for Nordea in Copenhagen.

The bank is due to go live with Aegisoft's
