Capitolis goes live with credit switching

The technology firm led by Gil Mandelzis aims to achieve a radical market structure shift with the separation of credit and execution

Gil Mandelzis-led technology firm Capitolis has gone live with a so-called credit switching service for foreign exchange, which aims to addres a key issue in credit provision and achieve the separation of execution and processing.

“Whether you trade bilaterally or through a PB, you have to get credit from the same bank that provides you with access to markets and pricing. Financial markets operate under a model which prevents market participants from trading unless they also take credit lines
