
Goldman Sachs launches FX algos
"We're actively going out into the FX market right now," said Peter Sheridan, head of Goldman Sachs algorithmic trading in Europe. He said the firm has a sales force in place to sell FX.
Enhancements to the portfolio trading algorithms are part of Goldman's strategies for next year, said Sheridan. "We're continually seeing interest in algorithmic trading from quantitative hedge funds, and they are typically looking for portfolio-based strategies," he said.
