What was good news for the banks in the third quarter, and will likely be good news for traders come bonus time, probably won't mean much for systems and information vendors. U.S. and foreign bank officials surveyed say that despite what many acknowledge was one of the best quarters in foreign exchange trading history, plans to boost spending, increase staff or open new desks aren't blooming in response.
