Mobil Oil Corp. Set To Open New Trading Desk In London

Mobil Oil Corp. is planning to open a new trading desk in London early next year, officials there confirm. The new desk, which will house three traders, will be Mobil's only other FX desk besides the one at its headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia. The move is being made in tandem with the company's plans to upgrade its trading systems.
"Every time the phone rang in the middle of the night people have wished we had a London desk," says Joanne Hogan, Mobil's forex manager in Fairfax. Those wishes
