
Ericsson triples online trading ratio
At the beginning of 2002 the firm was trading 15-20% of its total forex volumes of some $300 billion online, said Stefan Daberius, head of markets at Ericsson in Stockholm. It now trades about 50% of its FX flows via electronic trading platforms.
"All our currency balances are now straight-through processed with [Swedish bank] SEB, so what used to take several hours a day for one person can now be done in a fifth of the time," said Daberius. He added that the firm has also increased the number
