Bloomberg to launch new instant messaging service
This includes the ability to chat with more than one person at a time, the ability to copy and paste tickers and hyperlinks into messages, and the opportunity to view live quotes or link to a Bloomberg function.
Like other instant messaging services, including one from rival Reuters, Bloomberg’s service has a presence detector that enables users to detect whether their contacts are online or not.
The new instant messaging, or ‘conversation’, system will be available to users of the Bloomberg
