Quick, look busy! Here comes Mifid

With not even a year before Mifid comes into force, we are all still trying to figure out what it means. I was speaking with a software vendor recently, who told me that a Spanish financial firm had gained Mifid compliance by using his product.
That struck me as rather humorous, as I am not sure anyone knows exactly what Mifid compliance means yet. While the rest of us are mired in discussion papers, consultant reports and industry feedback, at least one firm claims to have figured it out.
