Exchange-traded forex volumes up 41% in April

The International Securities Exchange reported average daily trading volume of 7,600 FX options contracts for April. This was up 193% on April 2007 figures, the inaugural month of forex options on the exchange.

CLS Bank, meanwhile, said average daily volumes for payment instructions settled by the platform in April were around 500,000, with an average daily value of around $4 trillion. This was down on March, with 550,000 instructions valued at $4.7 trillion.
