FX Week's New Year currency forecasting challenge for a magnum of champagne has been won by corporate dealer David Martin of Société Générale's London branch. Martin submitted before FX Week's Christmas break the most accurate set of predictions for a number of key cross rates as of close of business at the end of 1994. A close second was Lars Haarløv, a director of Barclays Bank in Tokyo, third was R. Schelling, an FX trader with the Koen Visser Group in the Netherlands and fourth was Martin
