CPSS-Iosco proposes risk standards for CCPs

Central counterparties (CCPs) should be able to survive the default of one or even two of their largest participants in a stressed market, according to a consultation paper published by the Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems (CPSS) and the technical committee of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (Iosco) on March 10.
