Bonus season has been in full swing over the past few weeks – a process that typically leads to a busy round of hiring in the foreign exchange market as traders and sales staff keep a watchful eye on their competitors. This year's packages have left some better off than expected, but have led to cuts in compensation for many business heads within fixed income, currencies and commodities (Ficc) divisions.
