Gruntal & Co. has lured away Prebon Yamane USA's seven-person lira desk in New York. The three principals on the desk are Richard Camerlego, Thomas Capalbo and Warren Smith. According to Gruntal's FX manager Dan Smith, the desk will be the cornerstone to building the entire division. Already, Smith says the desk has brought in 30-40 clients, many from overseas, that Gruntal was not previously speaking with. Smith says he brought in the lira team because of its profitability, as well as the fact
