Chris Pavlou, regional ACI executive for the Asia-Pacific, has been transferred from his post as treasurer of HSBC Holdings in Hong Kong, to a new job as treasurer of HSBC/Midland in Tokyo, he confirms. The appointment is expected to be temporary, but it is unlikely he will return to Hong Kong, where he has been based for the past nine years. Separately, HSBC Markets has hired Terence Hui as a senior forwards trader in Hong Kong, confirms FX manager Mike Hillier. Hui joins from Chase Manhattan
