New HSBC/Midland Desks Cross Lines Between Treasury And Capital Markets

Midland Global Markets, or HSBC Markets/Midland, as the bank's markets division is increasingly known, has started up two new desks in London that cross the divide between foreign exchange and capital markets as part of a continuing effort to create an integrated international business, officials say.
Birgitta Jesperson, who was recently recruited from Citibank in London, runs an emerging markets team that incorporates specialists from the foreign exchange and capital markets sides, reporting
