REGULATIONS
A subcommittee of the Basle Committee on Banking Supervision is evaluating the extent to which netting agreements for off-balance sheet foreign exchange transactions can be recognized for capital adequacy purposes. The subcommittee, which is chaired by Richard Farrant of the Bank of England, is composed of banking supervisors from the G-10 countries and reports to the secretariat of the Committee on Banking Supervision.
