CME Plans To Offer Implied Volatility Quotes On Globex

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) is planning to offer implied volatility quotes on its currency options contracts over Globex, its electronic order matching system developed in conjunction with the Chicago Board of Trade (CBT) and Reuters Holdings PLC, sources at the exchange confirm. Although the proposal is still in the hands of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, officials there expect approval by the time Globex goes live.
